Is That Mary Hyde's Treasure? Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

4SwansT: Avast, Mary's Hyde's Treasure fell victim to the seas.

The branch the cache was attached to seems to have fallen into the pond as we could not find the container today. Changing it out to something new.

Geocache Description:

Enjoy a nice paddle on Barrington's Brickyard Pond. Obviously you'll need a boat of some sort to get to this cache, and coordinates for the two kayak launching sites for the pond are listed below.

This paddle cache was placed ahead of time for the Shiver Me Timbers event that helped kick off Groundspeak's "The Lost Treasure of Mary Hyde" souvenir opportunites that will occur throughout the summer.

For geocachers, often times the "treasure" you seek is the actual geocache itself, but it appears finding an ammo can is the true treasure to seek out for some cachers. It seemed fitting to make the final treasure for this cache an ammo can for that reason, but is it Mary Hyde's treasure? Rumor has it that Mary Hyde liked very small treasures, so keep that in mind.

As you may have figured out, you're looking for an ammo can. Not your typical ammo can of course, but any cacher with some sort of experience probably could have figured that out! Make sure you bring a pen and that you close the lid properly. Hope you enjoy the paddle!
