Austbygde er ei vakker bygd i Tinn i Telemark. Bygda ligger i nordøstre enden av Tinnsjøen. Vakre fjell og fjellområder omkranser bygda i nord, øst og i vest. Hardangervidda ligger og lokker i nord. Gaustatoppen står majestetisk i vest. Gårder ligger på begge sider av elva Austbygdeåe, som bukter seg nedover dalføret og ender ut i Tinnsjøen. Ned mot Tinnsjøen ligger sentrum i bygda.
Cachen ligger plassert sånn, at det mest naturlige er å parkere innafor den lille parken, der det er parkeringsplasser. Her kan du sette deg ned på en av krakkene og logge i ro og fred, og du kan samtidig nyte både mat og drikke, eller en is, ved en av picnic-bordene. Du kan rusle rundt på gresset og nyte blomstene, høre elva bruse, og se på den gamle statuen av Ljåsmeden. Tinndølsmiing er en gammel tradisjon, med røtter her i bygda, og derfor har denne kunsten blitt hedret med en egen statue.

Austbygde is a beautiful place in Tinn, Telemark. This little place, is in the north-east end of lake Tinnsjøen. Beautiful mountains surround the place in north, east and west. Hardangervidda is also placed in the north. Mount Gaustatoppen stands majestic in the west. Farms is placed on both sides of the river Austbygdåe, which twists and turns down the valley, and ends in the lake Tinnsjøen. The center of Austbygde, is placed near the lake Tinnsjøen.
This cache is placed in a location, wich makes it natural to park in a parkingspace, beside the park, at the end of it, where there is a information-board. No need to cross the road to search. You can sit down on one of the benches to write your log in peace and quiet, and at the same time, you can enjoy your lunch, a coffee or an ice-cream at the picnic-tables in the park. You can walk around on the grass, enjoy the flowers, listen to the river, and take a moment, to study the old statue of Ljåsmeden.
