Brook Haven Park appears to be another peaceful Battle Ground park, a haven of rest, if you will. However in December 2015, it was ground zero for the Battle Ground tornado, which ended up ripping out trees, roofs, fences, and showing just how many trampolines there were in town. A short walk from the adjoining neighborhood will bring you to an interesting area. Look both ways for bicycles using the jump as you make your way to the cache. http://www.columbian.com/news/2015/dec/10/tornado-hits-battle-ground/
This cache qualifies for the 2017 Battle Ground Geocoin Challenge! This year our theme is Brilliant - in each cache you will find something that could be described as brilliant, all drawn by my daughter - note this on your registration card.
The rules for the challenge:
- The Battle Ground Chamber of Commerce reserves the right to modify the rules at any time and for any reason.
- There is a limit of one Geocoin per geocaching family.
- The standard rules and disclaimers that apply to all geocaches apply to this challenge.
