The 0.5 MW Half Tree Hollow Solar Farm - being the first of its kind on Island - was developed as part of the ongoing drive of St Helena Island to realise its long-term objective in becoming fully reliable on renewable energy, thus playing its part in reducing Climate Change due to carbon emissions. The Solar Farm site used to house the historical Half Tree Hollow Rifle Range Site, with numerous historical structures and features still around as reminders of a time gone by.
