Geocache Description:

W.A.R.P. 11 - Georgias #100

"W.A.R.P." stands for Whisky07, AsatruDD, Rico906090 and Predator1337. Between June 26 and July 2, 2017, we came to Georgia on a mission. We wanted to be the first ones to find GC61HGH and we wanted to hide some Geocaches in the area. Before us, there were 89 caches in Georgia - after our trip there should be more than 100. We want to show some interesting spots that we visited on our trip and we also want to make geocaching a bit more interesting. So you will not only find some easy magnetic film container but you will often have to do something more for a log.

In many ways, we were successful. On the one hand, we were able to be the first to find GC61HGH and we were able to hide some caches. Back in Tbilisi, we did some more sightseeing and I took down some notes to create a multicache that is worthy of being the 100th geocache in Georgia - and here it is!

Parking near the header coordinates is difficult, so youd better come by public transport or on foot. The distance that you will have to cover is somewhere between 5 and 10km, depending on your decisions at some waypoints. You will have to find some details, fill in the variables in the formulas and thus find your way from stage to stage. At stage 8, you can decide whether you use public transport or walk to the final coordinates.

Stage 1:

You are on Rustaveli Avenue now. On your way down the street, you will find a lot of sculptures and figurines and other artwork. Look around you at the starting coordinates. You will find a musician in the wall. What musical instrument does he play?

violine? - A = 5

harp? - A = 8

trumpet? - A = 10

saxophone? - A = 15

Stage 2:     N 41° 41. (60xA - 7)   E 044° 47. (59xA)

Here you can find a memorial plate at the side of a house. It commemorates the gunning down of a peaceful rally by Soviet troops in 1956. In which month did that happen? Take its number in the year as B.

Stage 3:     N 41° 41. (55xA - B - 1)    E 044° 47. (62xA - B)

Now you are standing in front of a building of public interest. It is quite impressive. To get C, count the columns that you can see in the first line. Dont include the walls at the right and left ends.

Stage 4:     N 41° 41.(AxBxC + 106)   E 044° 47. (5xAxC - 22xB)

You have reached the entry to a nice garden. There used to be a sign at the entrance of the garden. You were supposed to count the lines of writing on it. For now just take D=4.

Stage 5:     N 41° 41.(40x A + D + 1)  E 044° 48. (CxD)

You have now reached a big roundabout. In the middle of it, you can see a column with a figure on top of it. What is the person holding in its hand? Find the correct answer for E.

shield= 5

spear= 10

gun= 15

sword = 20

Stage 6:     N 41° 41. (CxDxE - 26)    E 044° 47.(AxCxD)

At the wall, you can find the graffito of this black beauty. Under the painting you can find two black numbers. Take the bigger one as F.

Seems like the black beauty has been painted over. For F add the smallest and biggest values of the wrong answers for E.

Stage 7:    N 41° 41. (BxExF - 50)    E 044° 47. (2xCxF + 3xB)

Georgia ist a Christian country and you can find crosses everywhere, not least in the national flag. How many crosses can you find on the pillar by the side of the road here? Take the number as G.

As a help, look for this detail and look above and below it.

Stage 8:   N 41° 41.(GxCxF + E + DxG)  E 044° 47.(ExFxG + A + B)

You need only one last variable. For H, have a look above. What kind of transportation can you use here? Take the English word and count the letters for H.

Final:     N 41° 41. X- 521     E 044° 46.X - 238

To get X, multiply all the variables that you have collected on your way up until now. (AxBxCxDxExFxGxH). You will get a number with 8 digits. Just take the first four digits as X.

To get to the cache, you have the choice between using the aforementioned means of transportation (~7GEL) or walk up the hill. There are other caches on the way if you decide to walk. When you reach the top, enjoy the view and walk up to the final coordinates. The cache is a PET tube that is attached to a fence with magnets. It is not exactly at the corner of the fence but at the second pillar to the north. Try not to be seen so that the cache lasts forever!

I hope you enjoy your stay in Georgia just as we did!
