Geocache Description:

Lost Soles abide. This isn't one of them ... yet.

Please take care to rehide as best you can as the muggles are still looking for something here.

When I was almost six years old my brother was celebrating his eighth birthday with a party at Anna Page Park. As part of his party, my mom planned a 'treasure' hunt; with clues and stuff. (Kinda like letterboxing or geocaching multis). She let off my brother and his crew at the entrance to the park with the first clue and then she and I went ahead to place the remaining clues and the 'Treasure Chest' at the end. At the next to the last stop, there were some high school kids having a cookout in the clearing by the culdesac near the trailhead which leads up to near where this hide is placed. Feeling a bit apprehensive about the placement of the clue, she found a boy whom she was familiar with and tipped him off to our doings. She then placed the clue under the trash can as described in the previous clue and we then went and hid the 'Treasure'. The 'Treasure' was a box filled with party favors for my brother and his friends. We then went and began preparations for the lunch to follow the hunt. As I watched my older brother's crew pass by near where mom and I had set up camp I wanted to join them; promising mom that I wouldn't tell them where the final was hidden. BUT my older brother would have none of it. This was his party and his friends, and I could just stay with mom. I was heartbroken. Mom and I would continue preparations as the crew moved out to make the last two stops on the hunt. After a few minutes, the boys returned, but they weren't too happy. Seems they were unable to figure out the clue to the final, as the high schoolers had ripped to pieces the paper which it had been written on and then placed it back under the trash can. (Durn muggles). Well, mom was right in the middle of cooking up some hot dogs and couldn't get away, so she turned to me and asked if I remembered the clue and location. I said yes and she told me to lead the way for the boys to find the treasure. Which I did ... and I got the FTF(Bird dogged it some would say, and they would be correct.) and first choice of the prizes/treasure.

Happy trails to you,

tishman
