I am so bored. It makes me feel like I am having an aneurysm. I need to go on a road trip. So I told the wife and kids to come as you are and get in the geomobile. I didn’t mean to sound like an old Curmudgeon but it’s a downer to sit at home. I waved at Floyd the Barber as we left and told him we would be going for a ride and find some Mexican seafood.. I looked at the love of my life and stated how I go crazy for good tunes and a scenic drive. I am stone cold crazy for my sweet lady. The kids wanted to know if I wanted to play the game like the license plate game or Punch Buggy. I was under pressure. A good travel game can make for a great trip. My daughter said don’t try so hard and with a flick of the wrist I can use a coin to decide. I called heads and nevermore did I have to worry about what we would play.. Once we found a scenic drive we started to have fun. I told my son to look at that wonderful garden beside the road; it really looks like a force of nature. But I didn’t get to look at it very long because I saw a police car in my rearview mirror. “Just go” dad my daughter said “you drive like a grandpa”. The policeman passed us with looked with indifference as he kept on going. Thank goodness. I don’t need any tickets.. Farther down the road my son said when the music’s over pull off I have to pee. I guess I will have to take a right on Love Street and stop at the gas station. I am sure he would rather do it in a clean bathroom than the side of the road. That wild child of mine drinks too much soda and makes us stop frequently for him. But I am glad we stopped it slipped my mind that we needed gas. After my son was done and I filled the car up and we were off again. We saw the hitchhiker as we pulled on to the road but there is no room for stranger dangers.. I have great expectations for our rolling rock and roll party. I always tell the wife and kids to let me know what their favorite tunes are so we can rock out. I got to choose the right mix of songs to keep them happy. My wife told me you shock me by knowing all my favorite tunes and then she kissed me. Just as we were really rocking out I heard take me to the ladies room. You have got to be kidding me we just stopped. Sometimes I just don’t know if I need to love them or leave them. (just kidding). I guess the rock and roll party will have to wait to move on as the wife has her pit stop.. Now we are back in the saddle and driving down the road on this amazing day. I love riding with the family. Further down the road we came up on a crash. “Don’t stop” my wife said, the police and paramedics have everything under control. As I drove slowly by I gotta love it that no one was hurt. I noticed the time and if we are to get home tonight we need to start heading home. This drive was beyond beautiful but we have to make it home and beat the darkness. We made it home safe and I can’t wait to come together to go for a ride again..
