Weighbridge and Siding at Nanson marks where the Upper Chapman railway line passed through the community of Nanson from 1910 and closed in 1961.
*CONGRATULATIONS SQUASH 2 for being FTF*
Here you'll find a piece of history of the Upper Chapman now Chapman Valley area that has long disappeared. The weighbridge and shed were vital for the farming community when grain, ore and goods were weighed and stored nearby to be loaded onto trains for Geraldton. The siding provided access for passengers who wished to travel to Geraldton.
