Geocache Description:

One of several  Firestation caches located within Hampton County.

Special thanks to Chief Greg Cook and his staff for allowing the placement and providing Fire Saftey Facts for each cache in the series!

Please do not park in front of the fire engine bay doors. Thank you!

Gifford Fire Department is currently under the command of Chief Cook.

Unsure of when it was actually established it became apart of the Hampton County Fire-Rescue in 1991.

Congratulations to GeorgiaTreasureQuester for the FIRST to FIND!!

Fire Safety Fact:  In case of grease fire, cover the pot with a pan lid (a glass lid may explode from the heat).  Grease fires can be put out by baking soda, but it takes a lot.  Never try to carry the fire outside as grease can splatter out of the pan and cause serious burns.

A bit of advice for this one.  Keep your TOTTs close. Mr. Phillips may be able to lend a hand here!

This is a smaller container that can contain small items and the log book.  Please BYOP!  Thanks!
