Geocache Description:

Did you miss out on a CITO event in the fall and did not get a souvenir? Well cacher, luck is with you! You have another chance on 4/22/18 to "make amends" and attend a CITO during the 2018 Spring CITO run. Here are the specifics:

WHEN: SUNDAY April 22st 2018, from 9 AM to 11 AM
(RAIN or SHINE. The only exception is SNOW = No CITO)

WHERE: Listed Coordinates, duh which is in Kent

WHY: Its Spring CITO season!

WHAT: Glad you asked. We will be picking up a lot of trash along the Green River in Kent.

Heres the specifics. King County will provide us with the "equipment" to clean up the area. This includes, bags and trash grabbers and safety vests. There will be a limited number of trash picker-uppers. So. if you have one, please bring it. You will also want to bring your own gloves. Since this is an AM event, what trash detail is not complete without doughnuts and coffee courtesy of your hosts.

***** UPDATE 3/30/2018 ****** The state has changed the age limit to be only people over 18 can participate in the clean up. This is due to liability issues. Sorry

OTHER IMPORTANT INFO. For county liability purposes, this CITO is ONLY open for cachers 18 years old or older. ALL participants MUST watch the video which is found HERE prior to attending the event. You will be signing a release at the event indicating you have watched the video.

*****Please post your "will attend" log by 4/18/18. Your log should indicate the number of people in your party. This will help us so that we can request enough safety gear from the county for the CITO. If you post a will attend after 4/18/18, we can not guarantee there will be enough safety gear for everyone. So you will need to bring your own safety vest to the event.*****

Thank you for wanting to volunteer and to help King County clean up a section of the Green River Trail area. We look forward to seeing you at the event.
