Geocache Description:

A little container with room for very small swaps, in a beautiful little area full of green grass and leaves, various ducks, swamp hens and pink and blue water lillies in season.  Also frequenting the area are egrets, cormorants, spoonbills (and ibis).  About a 15 min wander along the bike/walking path to the beach at Clontarf.

When I was growing up, this area was a bare flood plain surrounding a clay ditch we called 'the creek'.

Then a bike path ran through connecting Maine Rd and Bell's Beach along the waterway.

A few years ago, this area of M J Brown Park was redeveloped into the lovely space it is today, with a pond, water lillies, trees, and many water birds.

Have a rest here on your walk/ride, or park in an adjoining street for a quick grab.

Relax and enjoy the serenity!
