Geocache Description:

Geocache4Michael

PLEASE DO NOT ATTEMPT IF THE CAMPSITES ARE BEING USED!!

New series along the Lake Trail and around the Lake Campground at Hibernia Park created for the S.E.A.R.C.H. Hibernia BBQ for Michael event.

There is a numbered card inside each cache. There will be a small prize for each of the first 14 cachers to bring a card back to the event. One card per cacher.

The entire series is meant to take you on a 2 1/2 +/- mile walk (more when you figure in looking for the caches).

All caches are meant to be somewhat easily found, with hints and pictures shown to help because GPS coordinates may be jumping around a lot. The caches are a bit off the trail, with some being further in than others - maybe 20-40' off trail. Some light bushwacking needed, but mostly just pushing away prickly vines and stepping over brush, even in Summer. Some poison ivy on a few. May be easier in Winter. Just walking the trail will take at least 45 minutes, but plan for at least 2+ hours if you are going to do all the caches, too.

Some caches may not be available during the Summer weekends because of camping and Pavilion rentals. Let the muggles enjoy their time at the park. Weekdays or off/season may be easier.

The Kid had always wanted to place a series along this trail. It was one of his favorite at the park. He loved to fish at spots along the way. He even had scouting events at the campground area along this trail.

Happy hunting!!
