POĽNÝ KESOV – termálne kúpalisko leží len 20 km od Nitry. Termálna voda vyteká z dvoch vrtov a má liečivé účinky pri poruchách pohybového ústrojenstva.
V máji 1978 sa vykonal balneohydrogeologický prieskum v tejto lokalite. Úlohou prieskumných prác bolo overiť možnosť zachytenia termálnej vody. V tom istom roku sa začalo hĺbenie prvého vrtu Po dosiahnutí hĺbky 1200 m vznikla na vrte havária, kedy došlo k zalomeniu vrtného náradia. V období septembra 1980 až januára 1981 prebiehali vo vrte záchranné práce, ale vrt sa spriechodnil len do hĺbky 900 m .

Hĺbenie vrtu bolo ukončené 17. 3. 1982, dosiahnutím hĺbky 1200 m. V súčasnosti sa využívajú oba vrty. Prvý má hĺbku 900 m / teplota 30,5 ˚C, Druhý je s hĺbkou 1200 m / teplota 50,5 ˚C).
