Geocache Description:

Railroad Fallen Flag Series of caches along former RR Right-of-way

This cache also qualifies for the Disappearing RR Blues bonus cache.

The Oregon & California Railroad was formed from the Oregon Central Railroad which was building a railroad in 1869 from Portland southward. In 1887 the Railroad stretched from Portland to Siskiyou Summit via land grants. The Southern Pacific soon acquired control of the railroad and was finally officially renamed to the SP in 1927. The O&C line still exists as the main railroad line thru the Willamette Valley to California. Is it currently owned and operated by the Union Pacific. The Salem Train Station, although the current one was built by the SP, it is on the original O&C line. Your are looking for an oversized Pill bottle, but you won't find it walking on the foot path.
