Third in the Railroad Fallen Flag Series on former Railroad Right-of-Way

This cache also qualifies for the Disappearing RR Blues bonus cache.


Burlington Northern was a railroad serving mostly the northern part of the US. It was formed in 1970 via a merger of four major railroads, the Great Northern; Northern Pacific; Chicago, Burlington & Quincy; and the Seattle, Portland and Spokane Railroad. In Oregon the BN ran on what was part of the Oregon Electric Division of the SPandS Railroad. It also ran thru central Oregon to Bend and Madras. In 1996 the railroad purchase the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe to become BNSF. The old OE Line in Oregon was turned over to shortline railroad Portland and Western. The line in central Oregon is still very much in use as part of BNSF. You are looking for a Bison Tube
