In this area, on January 19 during Epiphany, Orthodox believers celebrate this holiday by plunging through ice holes into freezing water to re-enact the baptism of Christ by John the Baptist. Each year the ice hole on Tsnyanskaye Reservoir is sanctified by a priest ahead of the ritual.
Also, Tsnyanskaye Reservoir hosts the Belarusian Wakeboarding Cup. Wakeboarding is a surface water sport that was developed from a combination of water skiing, snowboarding and surfing techniques.
You can try to find the remains of Iodko's manor on the isle. You should look for the (probably oak) alley on the latter, reach its end and look for the basement in the grass.
Tsnyanskaye Reservoir is a beautiful place for a hike or a bike ride, you can swim and sunbathe on multiple beaches, there are tables, benches and a small product stall.
