This is a place that has had over-watch on the county for 50 plus years, that I know of. Even one of the personnel had been here looking out for 50 1/2 years (she recently retired), just to see the horizon and make sure everything is fine, day in and day out. This is one of the oldest structures in the county and only one of seven remaining in the state. Ironically, the building was rebuilt in the mid 1970's due to being burned down by fire. And survived the fires of the year, 2011. Employees are aware of the presence and one of them is the cache owner. Please be cautious and do not damage any of the surrounding area. Container and log has been replaced due to exposure. Do not climb the tower, it is off limits, but a great view.
