Geocache Description:

Just a short paddle of about 800m from the end of Chisasibi Rd. The water can be very rough here and the winds very strong, so you may want to make arrangements with one of the local Cree or an outfitter to take you here. On June 24, 2017, 35 adventurous geocachers came to this unnamed island in Nunavut for a geocaching event (GC6Z600) with our Cree guide. Cachers came from Ontario, Quebec, Michigan and even someone from Connecticut who heard about what we were doing just a day prior. Our Cree guide shared a wealth of knowledge with us that day and we shared our passion for geocaching with him. He said that this island did not have a name so we named it Geocache Island. This is your chance to find a cache in Nunavut and currently the most southern cache in Nunavut at the time of this placing.
