Hundertwasser's Gift (Kawakawa) Traditional Cache

Your gps will bring you to the entrance to the Interpretive Centre / Memorial to Hundertwasser behind the famous toilets. Go around to the left to the library. Search for the cache in the Reference Section. If you get stuck ask a librarian as they have kindly said they would look after it for us.

Library hours are Monday to Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm, Saturday 9:00am - 1:00pm, Sunday closed.

Room for path tags and small trackables. Please bring a pen.

Hundertwasser spent most of the last 30 years of his life living and working in Northland and became a New Zealand citizen. In 1998 with the help of locals he transformed Kawakawa’s public toilets into a work of art.
