Zenon Park - CANADA150 Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

onecrazycanadian: Hi,

The low health score on this cache has remained below 60 since our last contact. I see no sign of any maintenance being done to correct this and I have had no response from the owner since my last contact. Due to the lack of response I have no idea if any corrective action has been taken. Consequently I am archiving the cache at this time. If the owner does happen to complete the maintenance required and wish to activate the cache again just let me know and I will consider unarchiving it once the issue is resolved.

Thanks

ZENON PARK – CANADA150

* Please BYOP * You are looking for a small bison tube.

Zenon Park owes its existence to Phillipe-Antoine Bérubé, a colonizing priest from the United States who brought several French-speaking families across the border to embark on a journey into western Canada.

The early settlers began arriving  in the area in 1910. In 1913, there were enough pioneers to get their own post office.

The name Zenon Park comes from one of the first residents of the colony: Zenon Chamberland. He had made  a park in the village and it became a very popular spot, especially after Sunday mass. The  post office of the day was also built there.

Today, Zenon Park is a vibrant Saskatchewan community. Many Fransaskois families still live there.

Plusieurs familles fransaskoises y vivent toujours.
