Tandem07: The park system has become unfriendly toward caches. It is unfortunate that I must announce the Archival of LOTC. Thank you for an amazing 5 years.

Geocache Description:

Welcome to Lord Of The Cache! This is a Night Cache in the beautiful Wolf Run Park of Knox County Ohio. This is technically a Multi Cache but there are elements of a mystery cache here as well. This will be a significant hike and should take anywhere between 90 minutes and 3 hours to complete. Bring hiking shoes, LED flashlights, extra batteries and depending the season, bug spray. You may also need a calculator. Enjoy!

Lord of the Cache

“One Cache to rule them all, one Cache to find them, one Cache to bring them all, and in the darkness bind them.”

Many years ago, in the land of Geo, there lived an evil sorcerer by the name of Lord Cacheon. Lord Cacheon wanted to control all Geocachers, and so he created special caches of each type. There was the traditional cache, to be hidden in a box, with coordinates leading straight to it. Then there was the mystery cache, which would require puzzle-solving skills, and could only be found by the most knowledgeable of Geocachers. The multi-cache, hidden from sight and only discoverable after following a series of steps leading the searcher to the final location. There was also the earth cache, meant to be discovered in the most scenic areas of the realm.

All of these caches were quite powerful, and would lead many Geocachers to find and favorite them, giving Lord Cacheon control over their very souls. To control them all, Lord Cacheon created the night cache, to lead Geocachers into the darkest areas, searching for something that they may never find. Two Geocachers, Tandem07 and Hawkman1999, would find the cache to rule them all, and try to stop Lord Cacheon in his reign of terror over Geo. They would be stopped short of destroying the cache, but not from hiding it and all its treasures from Lord Cacheon.

Park in the parking area that is listed under waypoints. The first stage is very close. The information at the first stage will get you to the Second AND Third stages as well as give you part of what you need to open the final. The other part of what you need to open the final is at a later stage. The second stage is a virtual stage that will give you what you need to get to the third stage. The note in the third stage will get you to where the white tacks begin. The first tacks are a pair(like eyes), followed by a single tack. Follows these to the Eye of Cacheon and the final. Red tacks will lead you out after. Enjoy!
