        Winner of Best Multi Cache
   in the 2017 Victorian Cache of the Year Awards

Estimated distance to travel: 400m

"'Twas a dark and stormy night,
Your compass had failed too soon.
Your torches all were spent,
Your light, but a pirate's moon."

So begins your search for pirate's treasure with only your wits and the moon to guide you...

Instructions
✘ The listed coordinates will bring you to a notice board
✘ In one corner you will find the coordinates for the great tree
✘ Travel to the island of shadows where the great tree grows (this is as far as your gps will take you)
✘ Face the tree where the white sap runs thickest and look to your right, beyond the brutal scar tree, to see the four masts of a sunken galleon
✘ Row out to the furthest mast
✘ Look around to find a circular hatch nearby and head to it
✘ From here you should see a square hatch. Continue to it
✘ Imagine water flowing on the ground around you. Follow this stream until you come to a wooden boundary post
✘ Count 3 stars (pickets) to the right and take one large step in from the third to find the moon and it will show you the way:

"If the road is a river,
If the stump is a circle,
If the stream is just a line.
You can count your paces to the X
and the cache will soon be thine."
