Geocache Description:

With 40 km of unspoilt beaches, Queen Elizabeth park, the Tararua Forest Park, lots of smaller reserves, miles of walkways and cycleways, the nearby bird sanctuary of Kapiti Island, many streams and significant areas of native bush, Kapiti Coast is a great place to unwind and relax. Of course, the region’s inhabitants know that. Many commute daily to the city for work but live here where they can get away from the hustle and bustle and enjoy what the region has to offer.

Whilst hunting down this geocache you might get to experience a little of what the region has to offer.

This geocache is not at the published coordinates (phew). Instead, you will need to complete this Wherigo. It’s kind of a Wherigo with a twist - - - a “Reverse Wherigo”. This Wherigo converts your player into a virtual version of the "Reverse Cache Box" which tells you the distance to the cache, but not the direction. You may begin your search from any spot in the world using your Smartphone or Wherigo compatible GPS to navigate to the cache. The cartridge was created by   -Waldmeister-   and is available to download from the Wherigo.com website.

Your task is to find the cache by periodically querying your Reverse Cache Box for the distance to the final location. Try to use your Reverse Cache Box as few times as possible. All instructions and necessary information needed to complete the cartridge is contained within it. The cartridge is multilingual. When entering the language you can shorten it to 2 letters, example: English = en.

To start you will have to type the following code unique to this Wherigo geocache into your Reverse-Cache-Box player:

699240
495815
120397

Take the code with you. You may need it if you have to restart your player for any reason. Optional: When you have reached the final, you will be given some statistics on your quest. If you wish, you may enter the details into your log, and also post the number of times you calculated the distance. At the end of the game, you will be given a personal passcode which you can enter into the cartridge if you select "create" rather than "play" when you start the cartridge. Save this code, and if you ever wish to create your own reverse cache, you can do so.

You might find this hard but PLEASE don’t go into too much detail about the difficulties you had in deciding where to go and don’t include hints in your log about where and how you found the cache or post photos that would give away the final location. Any logs with spoilers will be deleted without notice. - - - Cache owners can’t edit logs, they can only delete them.

The cache is a small micro with no room for a pencil so you'll need your own writing implement.

Have fun!
