The cache overlooks the "Pear Orchard" picnic site, which as you'll see is a stunning place to chill out next to a mountain stream.
Access to this picnic site can be obtained by phoning the telephone number on the info board at the entrance which is about 600m towards Kaapsehoop. There is a nominal fee which gets you access for the day.
You're looking for a camo lock-n-lock.
If you look in the opposite direction up the valley, you'll see the old historic miner's cottage alongside the stream a few hundred metres away. There's a cache there, which can be easily reached from here. No permits are necessary to go to the miner's cottage. Near the cottage, you'll also see lots of the old gold diggings from 100+ years ago. Most are trenches and holes in the plantation which has recently been felled, so the diggings are visible (2017). In a few years time, you won't be able to see them from a distance, and you'll have to walk there to see diggings.
