Aurstaupet

You have decided to take the detour from the Aursjøvegen to Aurstaupet/Aurstupet - which is about 400 meter easy walk from the road. From this place the cliff goes several hundred meters straight down. Be careful! Do not get to close and maybe keep a distance if you are afraid of hights. :) The perfect spot to take some pictures and if you have a drone, fly it here. A selfistick might also be a good idea.

You will find some more information about this road and the cliff online. They have their own web page with information. Parts of the road will go through a biotope reservation (animal life is protected there) but you can drive on the main road and go for hikes as everywhere in Norway.
