Vos1000: I removed the geo-trash. Sadly I was forced to make this cache a letterbox by the JaxParks challenge planning committee. I feel like the puzzle was fun but it being a letterbox kept it from being visited much.

2017 JaxParks Geocaching Challenge

The City of Jacksonville is proud to bring you this geocache as part of the 6th Annual Jaxparks Geocaching Challenge! In each JaxParks Geocache, you'll find a stencil attached to the log book. Simply trace or shade your 2017 Geocaching Challenge Passport in the appropriate box as you visit each geocache. When you've collected 25 of the 30 designs, you'll qualify for the coin! For more information on the Challenge, including the rules and how to obtain a Geocoin, please visit the Jaxparks Geocaching Challenge Website. You'll want to have a brochure with the details of the Challenge handy as you explore Jacksonville's great park system!

This is a Gadget cache.

The cache is not located at the posted coordinates.

Be prepared for mosquitoes and possible standing water.

Please DO NOT remove the stamp and ink pad from the cache.



At the starting coordinates, take the southeastern trail. At the first fork in the trail, take the path at a bearing of 120 degrees. Follow this path for approximately 0.25 mile. You will come to an intersection. Choose the path at a bearing of 200 degrees. At the next fork in the trail, take the path at a bearing of 100 degrees. Follow this path for approximately 0.10 mile. Look for a pine tree on the left side of the trail with a white marker. From the marked pine tree, continue down the trail for 10 to 12 paces. Take the smaller path you find at a bearing of 120 degrees. Walk 25 to 30 paces and look south. Three sentinels will be ahead of you. You need to solve the Gadget to get the combination to open the cammoed ammo can.
