2017 JaxParks Geocaching Challenge

The City of Jacksonville is proud to bring you this geocache as part of the 6th Annual Jaxparks Geocaching Challenge! In each JaxParks Geocache, you'll find a stencil attached to the log book. Simply trace or shade your 2017 Geocaching Challenge Passport in the appropriate box as you visit each geocache. When you've collected 25 of the 30 designs, you'll qualify for the coin! For more information on the Challenge, including the rules and how to obtain a Geocoin, please visit the Jaxparks Geocaching Challenge Website. You'll want to have a brochure with the details of the Challenge handy as you explore Jacksonville's great park system!

Park History: The groundbreaking for this 90 acre park was held on February 21, 2003. A large portion of this park will help preserve the environmentally sensitive area around McGirts Creek. At the completion of construction in March 2007, the park includes a community center, basketball courts, playground, picnic areas, trails, three youth baseball fields and two soccer fields. A highlight of the park is the "Field of Dreams" Miracle League field, where special needs children are able to experience playing in their own baseball league. Conceived by the West Jacksonville Rotary and funded by private donations, Lew Brantley Field was dedicated in May 2007. Park was named Lew Brantley Park in March 2011 from McGirts Creek Park.

You are searching for a camoed ammo can. Please be sure to replace the cache using natural camouflage to keep it completely out of sight from passing muggles.
