Geocache Description:

This cache was placed by Mark "The Cat" Thompson, founder of geocacheuk.com who passed away on 9th September 2004. The cache will be maintained and is dedicated to his memory. Check out the bookmark list for more information and a list of his other caches.

Original text from Mark: This cache is located near Swindon.

This cache is located near the Holy Oaks Hill Farm. This farm was one of the UK headquaters of the Moonie cult. It was run by Sun Me Yung Moon who it was aledged was an arms dealer. He set up his own religion that was acused of brain washing etc in the early 80s. The farm was given to the cult by the land owner.

There are lots of public footpaths in the area and some very nice walks can be had.

The paths here are not just muddy but seriously muddy. Wellies or walking boots are strongly recommended.

New text from The Wombles: I had the privilege of meeting Mark several times. I discussed this cache with him, and he told me the location was memorable because as a young reporter he went undercover here and joined the Moonies. He said it was like being brainwashed. The history of the Moonies is well described online.
