This Geocache is among many being hidden for Discover L&A Mega Event
taking place on August 19th, 2017. All DLA2017 Geocaches
will be published on August 15th, 2017 to allow time for non-locals
to build PQ's and routes.
DLA2017 participants are encouraged to wait till 9am on the day of the event to start finding them.

In celebration of canada's 150th birthday.

This series is being placed to highlight and honour those whose pushed back the boundaries of our country

The pioneers, the rebels, the communities, those who felt the 'call of the wild'.

Previously known as Sheffield township, this area was not kind to early settlers. the granite shield in the northern areas was completely unsuitable for farming, and the southern areas were not much better. Many farmers supplemented their income by working for the logging companies.
