Babuna River Waterfalls
The city of Veles and the municipalities on the west lie in the Central part of Macedonia. This picturesque region is worth to visit for its beautiful nature, especially spectacular mountains, rivers with waterfalls, quiet villages and fish restaurants with tasty meals.
The Babuna river springs on the southeastern side of the Jakupica (or “Mokra”, meaning Wet) Mountain below the summit Solunska Glava and flows between the mountain massif Jakupitsa on the left and the Babuna Mountain on the right side. It emerges with many small springs and flows down on very steep terrain with many small or bigger waterfalls. It continues along the villages of Nezhilovo, Bogomila, Sogle, Teovo, Omorani ets. Near Veles its water are used for rice fields, before confluences with Vardar River.
On the trail

In its course of 53 km, it receives several tributaries, the most important of which are the right tributaries: Brezitsa, Izvor and Voynichka River. Due to the extraordinary cleanliness of the water, there are many species of fish living in Babuna and, normally, they are the main meal in few restaurants here.
From the “Start Point to Babuna Waterfalls” (n 41 41.059 e 21 25.503) you will leave the forest road and start your hiking on well-marked trail. It takes 1-2 hours to reach the waterfall or the spring, depending on your condition. The trail leads on quite steep terrain and requires relatively good shape. Children can get there with some assistance.

Here is the contact: Toni, mobile phone number +389 78 384 264, so you can make the arrangements with them.

The cache is a small green plastic container.
Please, be very careful when getting out, logging and putting back the cache, in order to protect it of Muggles! In case of lost of the cache the owner can visit the location and restore it only 1-2 per year! Thanks.
