Geocache Description:

This cache is meant to honor a great little dog named Trinket. In her memory we had the city place a memorial bench on the trail. I could not hide a cache right at the bench; this is somewhat close to it.

For this cache, park in the lot at 18th Avenue and Foothills. This is the start of a trail that was involved in a huge controversy. BC Transit and the City of Prince George wanted to build a bus service facility in this lovely greenbelt. The citizens mounted a "Save the Green Space" campaign that eventually caused city council to scrap the project. Because of the publicity surrounding the land use issue the trail is more popular than ever!  Facing south, look down the paved trail and you will see Trinket’s Bench. Please visit the bench, sit and think about all the wonderful dogs you have known. If you walk to your left (going East) you will follow a path to a sleeping tree trunk. This should be a fairly easy find.
