Ringmore is a much older settlement than Shaldon – which was built upon reclaimed land. Ringmore has many beautiful thatched cottages which you can see as you travel between caches 4, 4A and 4B. The local thatcher’s signature piece is a pheasant which you can spy on many a rooftop! This cache was placed to try to reduce the "cacheless space" between the cache at the church and "Right Turn" which marks the end of the section in Ringmore. Sorry that this one isn't a particularly great cache, but as you're walking past to travel the loop, it seemed sensible to add this one.
