The Enumclaw Plateau Trail is a nearly 2-miles long trail heading NE just passed the Enumclaw Downtown area. Part of the trail is owned by the City of Enumclaw and part of the trail is maintained by King County Parks. The city portion is now paved which turns to a more natural, grass and dirt surface in the county portion. Some of the trail is shaded by trees while a majority is exposed to the sun. Bring your sunscreen and lots of water if walking this on a hot day. Look for blackberries to snack on during the month of August.
For the past 4 years, benandjayme had an awesome trail series here but recently archived it. We just couldn't let this trail go without any caches, so Kaydekay and I put our stash of caching containers to use. Have fun!
Trail closes at dusk, so please NO NIGHT CACHING!
The terrain is a 2.5 if you approach from the south. There is a small creek to cross containing a wide RR tie serving as the bridge. Otherwise, the trail itself at GZ is 1.5 terrain.
Congrats to Tubatad and Cool Cow Cachers for being FTF!
