MaxB Caching from Portland ME to Portland OR Event Cache

MaxB on the River and Jola500 from Michigan have been on an epic road trip.  MaxB traveled from Michigan to Nova Scotia Canada for the Maritime Mega event.  On her way home she hosted an event in Portland, Maine on August 8th. 

MaxB then picked up Jola500 and we raced to the APE Mega event on 8/19, then down to Portland OR.

Our goal for this day (Sunday) is to hike to GC 17 & GC12 early in the morning and then be back in town for this event.

We are looking forward to meeting local Portland area and visiting cachers – even those who are here, like us, for experiencing the Total Eclipse Monday morning.

Event location is the parking lot of the McDonald’s at the posted coordinates. 

Time: 7:00 pm to 7:30 pm.

We may stay longer to enjoy a dessert or dinner, if others are interested.

If anyone is interested in hiking to the 2 oldest caches starting early in the morning, we’d be very happy to have company along. Please contact me and we’ll work out time and place to start.
