This cache is trash (Taranaki) Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Phronimos: Since I no longer work "across the road" it's time to regretfully Archive this cache.
It was a magnetic nano under a bottle cap (white with a dog paw print). The coordinates were accurate! They were set with a Garmin 600.
Yeetrees tried to contest that accuracy so we stood side by side with the cache between us - he with his Garmin 650, me with my phone. After the GPS settled we got exactly the same result! But I did use my GPSr to set the cache. I had to move it away from the bushes as you guys were wrecking the vegetation searching for it. So for the last two years it's been in the open. The trees have grown a bit offering more cover for searching, but there's still trash here, but no more trashy decoys with the message, "this is not the cache... keep searching".
So there. It's gone. Hope you had fun, those who found it. Feel free to take back your Favourite Points and give to another worthy or frustrating geocach(er).

Geocache Description:

You know how sometimes you find a geocache, and think, "This cache is rubbish."

I wouldn't normally hide geocaches of such questionable quality, and I certainly couldn't be bothered looking for it, but if you must do it "for the numbers", you have been warned!

"It'll be fun", they said! This cache is just for that purpose - a bit of fun.

"Geocaching is just like real estate - location, location, location! It is common for geocachers to hide caches in locations that are important to them - unique locations on the planet that can be quite diverse - a prime camping spot, a great viewpoint, an unusual location, etc. are all good places to hide a cache.
This location isn't one of those

Did I consider accessibility? Is it is too visible or too close to busy roads? Yes, both apply to this cache

Is there is a good chance someone may stumble upon it by accident? Not really - it's rather a boring little spot!

As the Cache Owner (CO) I am ultimately responsible for the cache so I should make sure I know the rules for the area where my cache is being placed...
A cache hidden in full view of office building windows exposes a geocacher to being seen by someone who may think the cache search looks suspicious.
Yes. Definitely it is! It's across the road from my office and I will be watching!

Update November 2018: CO no longer works across the road, so you're on your own!**Evil laugh here**

The cache container should be suitable for all weather conditions and suitable for the location
Perhaps I should've chosen a container that’s appropriate for this environment and the population density of the location. A micro might be hard to find here, while a large cache may be too obvious in this suburban setting.

Who knows? That's part of the fun... or maybe not!

The coordinates are sorta accurate - I set it with Google Earth. But that might be rubbish too.

You'll just have to find the cache to see.

Please be careful and considerate of the vegetation... go around - not through!

Congratulations to "the Westies" in town for the weekend... rustynz, Rebel98, merlot58, Jag50 and Gorby on claiming the FTF. They got lucky!

January 2019: Previously there was a number of decoy caches - principally trash - that actually lined up and pointed to the actual cache just under the hedge! But unfortunately there's been a CITO here and there's no decoys to 're-set' back into the line.
Now there's nothing to give you guidance - so I've placed it near a tree. It's still trash, and it may be easier to find or not!
No change to the sorta accurate coordinates. **Evil laugh here**
