On September 5, 2016 I achieved the Geocaching Family Fun Trifecta when I found the original Geocache at this location. "How is that" you say? Well, I did it by coming to this farm and adding another geocache to my totals, my wife was able to sit back with a delicious glass of wine, and my three year old was able to pet baby goats and look at horses.
“Geocaching! Wine! BABY GOATS! WHAO! Sign me up, MAN!” Oh yeah, and you know I gave that cache a Favorite Point. That is also why I am lovingly resurrecting this geocache location.
PLEASE ONLY LOOK FOR THIS CACHE DURING POSTED HOURS. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO ENTER THE ESTABLISHMENT OR PURCHASE ANYTHING TO RETRIEVE THE GEOCACHE.

As wineries in Virginia gain world-wide recognition, my friends and I chose to combine our love of geocaching and wine by creating a VA Wine Trail of geocaches.
This cache is waiting for you at Aspen Dale Winery at the Barn. The proprietors have graciously allowed us to make this cache available during their tasting hours – Mon, Thurs, Fri 11am-5pm; Sat 11am-6pm; and Sun 12pm-6pm. Please respect their privacy and only seek this cache during their tasting hours!
To find this cache think about a beautiful setting for a wedding ceremony. The location also provides you with a wonderful view of the property. You will be somewhat hidden from muggles, but still keep an eye out for them. After you find the cache, feel free to admire some of the other unique features of this winery, including their beautifully restored 200 year-old barn. The winery has indoor/outdoor seating, restrooms, and light snacks. We hope you have fun exploring, and please be sure to replace the cache in the same location that you found it.
