White Strand #1 Traditional Cache

White Strand Beach is a secluded sandy beach just north of Peel

I used to visit White Strand Beach often in my more agile days, now it's not so easy for me to access, but nevertheless a lovely beach. Park on the roadside by the cottages just before Knocksharry on the Peel to Ramsey road. Follow the lane on the left hand side of the road. Do not drive down the lane as, like the sign says, there is no way out & no turning point for vehicles. Go through the kissing gate at the end of the lane & follow the path to the grassy sloping bank down to the beach. The path was quite overgrown when I placed the cache, but clears as you get nearer the beach & is much easier to pass along in Winter when there is less foliage.  The path is quite steep ( even steeper coming back up!) so be sure to wear good walking shoes/boots. It will probably be slippery after rain. It's best to pick a nice day for this cache.as you can take a picnic & towels as it's a great place for a swim. Please remember to take all your litter home, as there is nowhere to dispose of it on the beach. Dogs are allowed but keep them on a lead while passing the fields as there are often livestock in them. Tweezers will probably be required & BYOP
