This series of caches is themed around some of the great science fiction novels. It will take you along a very nice part of the Alpine Trail in Portola Valley. All of the caches were placed within a few feet of the trail so stay out of the road. There is a lot of Poison Oak in the area but no caches have been placed near it -- but the stuff grows where you least expect it so, as always, be alert.
Please replace as found and beware of muggles. This trail can be quite busy at times. Cycling and hiking the trail are good choices. I suggest parking in the extended parking lot near the intersection of Alpine Road and Arastradero Road. There is very little legal parking in Portola Valley.
