Gaius Julius Caesar

13 July 100 BC – 15 March 44 BC

 

Mostly known as Julius Caesar, he was a Roman Politician, general and

notable author of Latin prose.  He played a critical role in the events that

led to the demise of the Roma Republic and the rise of the Roman Empire.

He is considered by many historians to be one of the

greatest military commanders in history.

 

Much of his life is known from his own accounts of his military campaigns,

and from other contemporary sources, mainly the letters and speeches

of Cicero and the historical writings of Sallust.



Pizza

8 May 1959 –

 

Founded by Mike Ilitch and his wife Marian.

Mike wanted to name this shop “Pizza Treat” but his wife didn’t like it.

She considered Mike her “Little Caesar” and soon he relented and the

Store opened as “Little Caesar’s Pizza Treat” in a Detroit.

The original store is still open today.

They are the third largest pizza chain in the U.S.
