La bataille contre la Maison Arryn
Introduction
La Maison Arryn régne sur le Val d'Arryn depuis des millénaires, d'abord comme Roi de la Montagne et du Val et plus récemment comme Seigneur Suzerain du Val et Gouverneur de l'Est. Ses terres se situent dans la région centre-est du continent.
Selon la légende, la maison a été fondée par Ser Artys Arryn, le Chevalier Ailé. Il aurait chevauché un faucon géant, attérit sur la montagne la plus haute du Val et vaincu le Roi Griffin, le dernier des Rois de la Montagne----- Par la suite, il a pris les Eyrié et est devenu le premier Roi de la Montagne et du Val---.. Ses descendants ont continué à dominer le Val depuis.
Les Eyrié sont considérés comme inexpugnable et défendent la Maison Arryn des tribus violentes de la Colline des Montagnes de la Lune.
Jon Arryn est l'actuel chef de la Maison, Seigneur des Eyrié, Gouverneur de l'Est et Défenseur du Val----- C'est un noble respecté aussi bien par Eddard Stark que Robert Baratheon.
Aerys II (Le Roi Fou) a approuvé l'enlèvement de la soeur d'Eddard et la fiancée de Robert, Lyanna Stark..--- Il a également fait tuer le père et le frère d'Eddard pour avoir protesté contre l'enlèvement..... Lorsqu'il a exigé qu'Eddard soit renvoyé à la justice du roi, Lord Arryn s'est révolté, appelant ses bannerets à la guerre. Les Maisons Stark et Baratheon l'ont suivi.---- Les rebelles ont forgé une alliance avec la Maison Tully à travers le mariage, Eddard s'étant marié avec Catelyn Tully et Jon Arryn avec la jeune Lady Lysa Tully.
Après la victoire des rebelles, Robert est devenu roi et a désigné Jon comme sa main. Jon sert le royaume depuis de nombreuses années comme la Main du Roi.

The battle against House Arryn
Introduction
House Arryn rules over the Vale of Arryn since millennia, originally as the Kings of Mountain and Vale and more recently as Lords Paramount of the Vale and Wardens of the East. Their lands are in the central-eastern region of the continent.
According to legend, the house was founded by Ser Artys Arryn, the Winged Knight. He is said to have flown atop a giant falcon, landing on the topmost mountain of the Vale, and defeated the Griffin King, the last of the Mountain Kings----- Afterward, he took the Eyrie and became the first King of Mountain and Vale---.. His descendants continued to rule the Vale ever since.
The Eyrie is considered impregnable and defends House Arryn from the violent Hill tribes of the Mountains of the Moon.
Jon Arryn is the most recent head of House Arryn, Lord of the Eyrie, Warden of the East and Defender of the Vale----- He was a respected nobleman and both Eddard Stark and Robert Baratheon fostered with him.
Aerys II (The Mad King) condoned the kidnap of Eddard's sister and Robert's betrothed, Lyanna Stark..--- The Mad King had Eddard's father and brother killed for protesting against the kidnapping..... When he then demanded that Eddard be turned over to the King's justice, Lord Arryn rebelled, calling his banners to war. House Stark and House Baratheon followed suit.---- The rebels forged an alliance with House Tully through marriage, with Eddard married to Catelyn Tully and the then-elderly Jon to the young Lady Lysa Tully.
After the rebel victory in the war, Robert became King and appointed Jon as his Hand. Jon serves the realm well for many years as Hand of the King.
