Fort Wilkins Historic State Park offers camping and day use facilities and features a restored 1844 military outpost and one of the first lighthouses on Lake Superior. Restoration work and development began in the 1930s. Costumed interpreters demonstrate the history of the Keweenaw Peninsula fort.
Modern Restroom Dates:Modern restrooms and services are scheduled to be available from the second Saturday in May till the third Tuesday in October. Freezing temperatures could change this schedule. If you are planning a camping trip around these dates and having modern facilities is important to you, please contact the park to confirm that they plan to be on schedule.

Driving Directions: The Park is located on US Highway 41 approximately 1 mile east of Copper Harbor. The park located 35 miles north of Calumet and 49 miles north of Houghton.
