HH9 Ionia Recreation Area Traditional Cache

This cache is part of the Haunted Hollow 9 event and is located just off one of the many trails located in Sleepy Hollow State Park.Most of the trails are well groomed and hard packed making a bike a great way to get to the caches in the area.  A Michigan Passport is required for entry to the park and may be purchased there.  Keep in mind during the hunting season to be aware of hunters in the area.  Hunting is allowed from September 15th until April 1st each year.

Rolling hills, babbling brooks, open meadows, forested ridges; a lake nestled in the hills and a river winding its way through woods and fields -- that's Ionia Recreation Area. Dammed waterfowl flooding, wildflowers, and more than 199 species of birds have been seen in this park.

Modern Restroom Dates:Modern restrooms and services are scheduled to be available from the first Saturday in April till the last Tuesday in October. Freezing temperatures could change this schedule. If you are planning a camping trip around these dates and having modern facilities is important to you, please contact the park to confirm that they plan to be on schedule.

Operating dates refer to all areas of the park/harbor, including day use facilities. Reservable dates refer to campground/harbor open and close dates.
