Situated on 36 wooded acres with a sandy beach on Budd Lake, Wilson State Park is located on the north end of Budd Lake in Clare County. The park was originally the site of the Wilson Brothers Sawmill and Company Store, which thrived in the late 1800s.
Modern Restroom Dates:Modern restrooms and services are scheduled to be available from the first Friday in May till the third Monday in November. Freezing temperatures could change this schedule. If you are planning a camping trip around these dates and having modern facilities is important to you, please contact the park to confirm that they plan to be on schedule.

Driving Directions: The park is located in the city of Harrison. From the West take M-61 into Harrison, turn left onto N 1st street, go 0.9 mi. From the East on M-61 turn right onto US-127 Business/N Clare Ave, go 3.2 mi. From US – 127 take the Harrison exit 176; turn south onto business route 127 and go 3 miles to the park. The park is 25 mile north of Mount Pleasant and 20 miles south of Houghton Lake.
