Cache is at Posted Coordinates. You will want to head west down the geo trail that is at the top of the hill on the bike path. Past the Juniper and take a right. Follow to the boulder outcroppings. You will find the cache under a pile of bark and stones next to a standing/decomposing tree.
There are not many historically fierce rivalries as the Bison vs University of North Dakota. To honor this rivalry the two teams since 1937 have played for a traveling trophy that is a 75 pound replica of a buffalo/Native American Nickel. Similar to the American Nickel that was circulated between 1913 and 1938. The nickel was started by the Blue Key Leadership Fraternities at each of the schools (later UND Student Council). The Nickel Rivalry continued until 2003 when NDSU had their last conference(North Central Conference, Div. 2) game with the University of North Dakota. Since NDSU was moving up to the Div. 1 Football Championship Subdivision. They have played one game since this, but with the Mascot change the trophy is no longer played for. In the Cache you will find the Bison half of the trophy depicted in a stamp. Please leave this for future finders to enjoy. If someone wants to create the other half I am open to that, but I only had time for the Bison Half....
