Seashells was once a thriving motel, service station and bottle store. The old building lies in ruins and can still be seen to the right; the swimming pool is particularly poignant. It closed down in around 1990, when the new N2 came into being, and traffic was diverted from the old George Road and business dried up. However, new life has been breathed back into Seashells in the past few months.
