HH9 Tippy Dam Recreation Area Traditional Cache

This cache is part of the Haunted Hollow 9 event and is located just off one of the many trails located in Sleepy Hollow State Park. Most of the trails are well groomed and hard packed making a bike a great way to get to the caches in the area.  A Michigan Passport is required for entry to the park and may be purchased there.  Keep in mind during the hunting season to be aware of hunters in the area.  Hunting is allowed from September 15th until April 1st each year.

This small rustic campground is located at the Tippy Dam Pond boating access site. It is the only boating access site managed by the Parks and Recreation Division that allows overnight camping.

Operating dates refer to all areas of the park/harbor, including day use facilities. Reservable dates refer to campground/harbor open and close dates.

Driving Directions: M55 to High Bridge Turn east on Coates Hwy., approximately 6 miles to Dillings Road, turn south and follow road to end for park entrance. Approximately 25 miles west of Cadillac, 35 miles south east of Traverse City and 26 miles west of Manistee.
