We'll meet in the main parking lot at 8:00 am where there will be coffee, donuts/muffins.... and trash bags (!) served - although please note this is a B.Y.O.G. Event (Bring Your Own Gloves 
)! Weekend day-use parking at Schodack Island is $6.00/car, but since we will be volunteering to clean up the shoreline and other trails, parking will be FREE for all CITO event participants that arrive before 8:30 am . For those who want to attend the event but arrive later than 8:30 am, I am sorry but the day-use fee will be charged - So come early and help us make a difference! (See Note log from the CO for details) We will then disperse along the Hudson River shoreline, sure to find lots of trash and treasures along the way.
For those who attended RenMin's 2015 Schodack Island CITO, there were lots of laughs over the crazy items we found along the shore - Yes, that is a car bumper.... and yes, lots of tires, and a BOWLING BALL 
!
And who can forget C5Z's major score of the solar powered boat deck light he later turned into a lighthouse!! (see his photo in his Will Attend Log) ...See, "one man's trash is another man's treasure"!!
So, bring your gloves, wear your shore-cleaning, strong-soled, footwear (hint - we will be near the water and potentially sharp debris), and be ready to have some fun as we give back to this wonderful State Park and the Hudson River shoreline before the NYCRG 15th Annual Main Event starts at 9:30 am - and possibly longer depending on our CITO finds! More details will follow as we get closer, and please feel free to post if you would like to bring breakfast treats to share for those of you with amazing early-morning culinary talents as this event will lead into the fun activities of the Annual Picnic!
