The promotion from the Championship to the Premier League was achieved on the key date of Monday 27th May 2017 at Wembley Stadium when Huddersfield Town beat Reading 4-3 on penalties after the match ended 0-0.
It will be the first time for 45 years that Huddersfield Town have played at the highest level of English Football although they do have the unique distinction of being the first club to win the League title three times in a row back in 1923/24, 1924/25 and 1925/26 (they were also runners-up in the following two seasons!)
