Geocache Description:

This is a microcache off of I20. It is at the entry way into the lively little town of Roscoe, TX. The Lone Star State sillhouette dominates this cache site. Check out the dinosaur "fossil" behind the sign. Bring your own pen!

This is a highway exit that takes you into Roscoe, TX. Roscoe is a small town of 1,400 people. This road leads to Broadway where you'll find The Lumberyard, a local eatery and famous live music venue. If you arrive in the daytime, check out the Blackland Smokehouse for great BBQ. Other neat little businesses include Vickie's Gifts (on Main Street) and the Wildflower Boutique. Historically, Roscoe was a railroad town. It was a settlement on the Texas and Pacific railroad beginning in 1881. Today it is a farming and ranching community. Now known for its wind turbines, for several years it was home to the largest wind farm in the world.
