Who: You and any other geocaching card sharks you can muster up for this event!
What: The last event of the summer!
When: 10am to 2pm, Saturday, September 16, 2017. If you'd like to come early (9:30am), bring some chairs to sit around a morning fire!
Where: Island View Pavillion (See coordinates above), Chena Lakes Recreation Area
Why: Because Espresso Yourself has again offered to bring coffee for your enjoyment and to get you primed for a day of finding as many Poker Run caches as you can in the time allowed and possibly win "valuable" geocaching merchandise!
How: The ten (10) geocaches which will contain the cards to make your winning 5-card stud poker hand are accessible by foot, by car, by bike and by boat (one of the of caches will only be accessible by watercraft but you only need 5 cards to make a poker hand so don't let that scare you away!)! Liquidearth will have a canoe for folks to use if necessary. BYOLJ (bring your own lifejacket).
liquidearth will supply some morning munchies (choco chip cookies or something similar) to go along with your coffee. We'll also bring firewood for a morning fire!
Bring water and a snack/lunch if you'd like! There are barbecue pits there if you want to bring some charcoal to barbecue something!?!
Don't forget your smartphone or GPSr and a writing implement. (UPDATE: 9-12-17 There is no park entry fee).
Rules of the "Run" will be handed out at the Island View Pavilion at 10am on the morning of the Event.
Bring a gallon size baggie to hold your envelopes in case it's raining
NOTE: Chena Lakes has close to a bazillion other geocaches just waiting to be found so you may want to make it a whole day of fun by first possibly having the winning poker hand and then increasing your cache count by finding more caches!!
